Social Media for Small Business 101

This workshop is specifically tailored to people just starting out with social media and social networking. This is an entry level, or beginner seminar. Sites we will explore include Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. What you'll learn in this workshop is how to become comfortable using your own Facebook profile, how to set up a Twitter account, and how to use LinkedIn.

This entry level class is a fit if you have just started your personal Facebook account but have no idea how to use it, if you don't have a Twitter account and if you don't have a LinkedIn profile.

Social Media for Small Business 101 helps you build a foundation for using social media for your business. The key to being successful on social media sites is to understand how they work on the personal side, before exploring how to use them for business.

Social Media for Small Business 101 begins a series of social media workshops with increasing complexity and depth of information.  Future workshops will follow in June and July.  Watch for Social Media fo Small Business 202 and 303.

This will be a "hands on" workshop.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops, tablets, or smart phones to be guided through how to use sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Presenter: Josh King

Josh is the founder of Tinderbox Consulting, a company that helps small business owners challenge the traditional way of running and marketing a small business. Previously Josh managed Peacock Virtual Solutions' transition from a home-based sole-proprietorship business to an office with 4 full-time employees and a team of a dozen virtual contractors. Over the course of his career Josh has handled Business Development for a boutique marketing and design firm, was an Account Executive at Comcast Spotlight, and before that, was the Marketing Director at 49° North Mountain Resort.
